I personally don’t like unbalanced counts because they underestimate the edge early and overestimate late. If you’re playing shoes with typical pen (75%) it doesn’t matter much though.
Here’s the reality. The count system you choose is going to have a very small impact on your overall results. Your ability to use the system with very few errors, pen, rules, bet spread, and most importantly, being able to play without getting kicked out are all more important. People sweat the counting system they choose then sit at 66% pen games spreading 1-6. Or they target double deck games that are watched like hawks.
If you find an unbalanced count easier than HiLo, go for it.
